Shalom! This is my first real blog post on JumpEarth.com, so bear with me here. I am writing this from my grandmother’s house (we call her “Savta” in Hebrew) in Ra’anana, Israel. So far I’ve been hanging out with my cousins at escape rooms, cooking with my Savta, meeting all of my friends and family, and doing homework. I’ve been having a lot of fun! I got to watch an air show at a military pilot graduation ceremony yesterday and I’m really excited to see one particular airplane-obsessed friend’s reaction. Tonight my family and I are flying to Africa! Last Friday we went to the beach and my brother Asher got stung by a jellyfish. We’re pretty sure he’s allergic. I’m very excited because last school year I spent months making my Savta a present and I gave it to her a couple of days ago. It’s a wood-burned Memory Box and it is filled with pictures of her and my late grandfather (or “Saba”). It has a wire tree embedded with lights in the middle and there’s a little swing hanging down from it. She loved it so much that she cried! I’m really happy she liked it so much because I put a lot of effort into it. As I said before, she’s been cooking for us a lot, so here is one of my favorite recipes:
