Hi everyone! I’m back with my FINAL blog post collection on this trip! First, we got packed up our bags in Portugal and then we took a taxi to the airport. We flew to Tel Aviv where we met Oved, Moti, Maytal, Mattan, and Noa and they took us to eat at this very good shawarma place like the one in Istanbul. We had a very good snack there and after we went over to Savta’s house and said hi to her, we unpacked and then went to sleep because it was ten o’clock there. We didn’t do much on some of the other days, but we still did fun stuff on some of them.
On Wednesday, we met our friend Noam from the last time we were here and then we went to see Toy Story 4, and which was disappointing to me. We also ate this cool restaurant that had excellent noodles.
The next day we went with Oved’s family to see the live-action Lion King, which was also very disappointing. I think most movies these days only care about money rather than actually being good.
On Thursday, we went out to eat dinner at the house of Uri and Michael, other friends of Ofer. We had a fun time in their house and there was this hilarious poster explaining how Tasmania was the greatest place in the world and I forgot to take a picture of it, sorry. We have had a great time here so far even if we haven’t done much.
The next day, we went to my cousin Mattan’s going away to the army party. In Israel, it’s mandatory that you have to serve at least two years in the military and then you do your own thing, so Mattan was about to start his military service. At the party, we each wrote our messages of good luck for him and we finished with a very tasty slice of cake, which was very good actually. A few hours later, we met with his family again and we did our final escape room on this trip, which was woodland themed. It was tricky, but it was fun to do with the decorations and fun ways to retrieve items.
In the last few days here, we didn’t go out much so we could spend more time with our grandma, who we call Savta. We really want to comfort her on our last days here and she always gets very sad when we leave her. This trip was overall very cool and one of the best events in my life. Nothing can compare yet and there were moments that I’ll never forget. Thank you for putting time into reading our blog, it means a lot to the family.
