Drive to Cape of Good Hope, South Africa

Hello All,

Yesterday we rented a car and drove to Boulder’s Beach in Simon’s Town, South Africa and then on to the Cape of Good Hope (Cape Point).  We saw some beautiful seaside landscapes, frolicked with African Penguins and took in the beautiful views and enjoyed the pristine Diaz Beach at the Cape.  The Penguins were mating, but were also sitting on nests, some with new hatchlings. The highlight for me was the Cape of Good Hope, it was absolutely spectacular.  Most of the tourists were too lazy to take the long stairs down to the beach and back up again so we had a beautiful white sand beach almost all to ourselves.  The water was cold, with dangerous rip tides, so no swimming.  We rolled in the sand and walked along the beach with bare feet.  The day was warm and the sky was cloudless, it was a perfect day.  We are already looking forward to going back when our Nephew/Cousin Imri, comes to join us here for a week in August.  Hello to all from Troy, Ofer, Ella and Asher!
