Troisième Jour d’Ella à Paris

Bonjour encore! Yesterday, we went to the exact center of Paris, right in front of the Notre Dame! We thought that it would be very easy to find a landmark, but it actually took quite a while to find because it was so small!

All I’m saying is that if anyone wants to be in the center of Paris, look DOWN. Anyway, after that, Dad, Asher, and I went to… the Statue of Liberty! Well, the little one that America gave France to commemorate the centennial of the French Revolution.

We then walked toward a hot air balloon in which we could see Paris and stopped at a playground on the way there. However, the balloon was closed because of wind so we didn’t go up.

After that, we went to the Eiffel Tower. On this note, I will say that I was disappointed. Previous to this trip, I had been to Paris three times. When I went to the Eiffel Tower this time, I saw none of the grass in which I used to picnic, only dirt and gravel. There were tall glass walls surrounding the Tower and you had to pay to even go under the Tower. There was only one point of entry and exit and a very large security checkpoint surrounded it. I understand that Paris has many terrorist attacks, but it still seems fairly easy to plan an attack on the Tower even with these measures in place. Therefore, I do not understand the point of ruining the Eiffel Tower’s magic. Tell me what you think in the comments!
